Poems by Linda Baldwin Avila

My poetry has appeared in print in California Quarterly, Cape Rock, The Clackamas Literary Review, and The South Carolina Review. Most recently, Punch Line was published in the August 2011 issue of the on-line journal Eclectica.

I studied poetry at The New School for Social Research with Richard Tayson and Malena Morling and at Gotham Writer’s Workshops. I participated in workshops elsewhere with Kevin Young, Sharon Olds, and Thomas Lux.

The date shown under the poem’s title, on the Entries page and on the Archive page, is the date it was posted to this website and not the date it was written or published.

I have also posted some of my favorite quotes from books and essays and hope you will find them interesting.

Writing and editing poems takes up much of my time but I am interested in Opera, Music, Ballet and other arts as well. I also love to travel and for any of you interested in my travel photo albums they can be seen at http://picasaweb.google.com/BaldwinAvila.
